This is a great activity to do with your group. They are able to interact as they learn the lesson.
We placed double sided tacky tape on the back of each of the pieces of armor and a magnet on the back of the little boy. We did not color any of it in so that the children can each color their own and place it on their refrigerator.
As you read the story the children will place each piece at the appropriate point in the story. Ask them questions about what each peice means. Once the lesson is completed they will get a shield with the bible verse to learn printed on it.
I placed a pin on the back so they can wear their shields.

BACK PACK TREAT BOX
Instructions and measurements to create these are below
You will first cut a piece of Card stock 11 x 6
Score The long way first @ 1,2,5 1/4, 6 1/4, 7 1/4, 10 1/2
Turn on one end of the short side and score @ 1 1/2 this is the base for the bottom
Using my "Accent Essentials" Cricut cartridge and cricut I cut on from #48 shift key on @ 3 1/2 to make the top
You will then want to punch 4 eyelet holes in the back of the box for the ribbon placement for the backpack handles. I also lined up the top flap and punched holes to match up with the back top ones
Fold all score lines back and forth for easy assembly
Assemble your box just like you would a 2,5,7,10 box found HERE at SCS
To make the front envelope I cut one from Plantin Schoolbook cricut cartridge "Envelope Shadow" @ 2 1/2
Now you can put all pieces together and decorate as desired. What was really neat, not only were they filled with chocolate candies, we were able to put a personal message to the each child in the front envelope that they could read it later on.

This is a game I made to reinforce a missions club theme. It is a shoot off of a 'Ten Little Indian' game I ran across in a book called 'Mouse on a Mission by Ed Dunlap. It has 54 Bible Review games to reinforce the lesson.

A neat place I found to order unfinished wooden crafts
is a place called Factory Direct. The theme for our winter Blitz this year was gingerbread. So in addition to making gingerbread houses, I found this craft at Craftideas.info and was able to order the gingerbread men and hearts.
